‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Expecting A Weekend Gross Of $174M-$184M

Must Read

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the Marvel Studios sequel arrives on the big screen four years after filmmaker Ryan Coogler’s ‘Black Panther’ made history with the film.

In February 2018, Black Panther boasted a Friday gross of $75.9 million for a total domestic debut of $212 million. Globally, the film is expected to open to $305 million to $335 million. It is opening in virtually everywhere, excluding China and Russia.

The sequel has had it’s fair share of tragedy when Chadwick Boseman, who played the role of T’Challa/Black Panther in the 2018 film, died of colon cancer in August 2020.

Wakanda Forever’s cast includes Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba and Martin Freeman, as well as Marvel newcomer Tenoch Huerta as Namor and Dominique Thorne as the hero Riri Williams.
