Bruce Springsteen Sells Music Catalogue In Massive Deal With Sony

Bruce Springsteen made history this week with what may be the biggest deal ever penned for a single artist’s body of work.

Confirmed by Sony on Thursday, the deal, which covers all of the extensive body of Springsteen’s work, is valued at about $550 million, much more than was discussed in previous negotiations, though specific details were not announced.

This is just one of the many megadeals taking place in the music industry in recent years. The ways music is listened to is ever-evolving and music companies, investors and private equity firms want in on it.

Neil Young, Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan, just to name a few, have sold all of parts of their work. Those figures are well into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Currently, my music catalogue is valued at $42 and some change. I am open to all offers.
