Eclectic Artist, AMAVA, Releases New Single “Feel Things”

Must Read

Madison Slicker, professionally known as AMAVA, is a 25-year-old multi-genre singer/songwriter who grew up in the sheets of rain of the Pacific Northwest.

This eclectic artist is making a name for herself melding folk music, modern-day pop, and hyper-pop styles with ambient pop flavors. Though her roots are firmly planted in folk music, she counts acts like Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, and Norah Jones as her early influences. After a move to Nashville, her sound and vision began to drift toward pop music inspired by the female powerhouses in the genre.

The rising artist describes her music as “music to feel to.”

“I want all of my music to sound like it takes place in a glittered, haunted house.”

AMAVA went back and forth between Los Angeles and Nashville after the release of her debut single, “Blush.” Early on, she found herself placed on various Spotify editorial playlists and began to grow a following on the popular video app, TikTok.

Her latest project, “Feel Things” is a masterful blend of those folk, pop, and hyper-pop roots. The track features classic 808s and a bouncy bass beat with AMAVA’s vocals resting on top of its catchy musical foundation.

Feel Things” is a moment of pouring emotions of expressing herself and writing pure love songs where she’s super transparent with the way she feels. She adds, “This is a pure, honest love song where I didn’t shroud everything in a cover of heavy imagery and mystery and it was all me just saying exactly what I felt”. The song does sharpen into concrete representation of her thoughts that carry the metaphor of “Feeling Things” forward.
