Octavate is a hard rock project based in Greater Boston. Josh Prost wrote the songs and plays bass, baritone, and guitar. Shawn Valle does all of the vocals. Drums were handled by Tom Dupree III, who is the former touring drummer for the band Train. Some of the guitar tracks, and the production of these songs were done by Andrew Leyenhorst. For fans of Chevelle, A Perfect Circle and fellow Massachusetts natives Staind – Octavate will be right up your alley. These guys can write, sing and play with the best of them.
Their latest single, “My Wasteland” rocks while maintaining a catchy, memorable pop sensibility. Octavate’s cover of the Cyndi Lauper classic “Money Changes Everything” is absolutely KILLER! My advice: go to Spotify right now and check out this dynamic duo!
