London Pop Trio New Hope Club Continues Their Rise To The Top With Multi-Releases

Must Read

London pop-trio New Hope Club have come a long way since the group’s debut resulted in billions of streams and catapulted them to stardom.

Manchester natives, Blake Richardson, George Smith and Reece Bibby have been writing and performing together for over seven years and have earned themselves a devoted international fanbase, selling out headline shows around the world.

NHC’s debut album dropped in 2020 to critical acclaimed and a No. 5 spot on the UK charts, running just behind Justin Bieber, Lewis Capaldi, Tame Impale, and Billie Eilish.

Part of what makes New Hope Club special is the fact that each member is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and lead vocalist – each of them sharing the spotlight and bringing musical excellence to the group as a whole.

Not surprisingly, the boys were inspired by the iconic British bands that they grew up listening to like The Beatles, The Stone Roses, and Oasis. It’s only fitting, then that lead singer, Blake Richardson, is making his feature film debut playing a young Paul McCartney in Midas Man, the upcoming music biopic about Beatles manager Brian Epstein.

Their latest releases, “Walk It Out” and “L.U.S.H.” are no exception to the expert musical craftsmanship they are known for.

“We released “Walk It Out” because we didn’t have any songs that truly represented us live and “L.U.S.H. is our most risqué song to date,” NHC said in a recent press conference with Bridge.

“L.U.S.H.” is a song about the start of a relationship. It has that desperate, almost obsessive urgency that you feel in the beginning. It is definitely saucy,” they say about the track.

The “L.U.S.H.” music video seemed to confuse viewers a bit, as the visuals were the exact opposite of what was portrayed in the lyrics, “This video showcases our funnier side in the sense that we’re poking fun at ourselves and the fact that we don’t take things too seriously ever.”
