Multi-Instrumentalist Isaac Krapf Releases New Single “Diamond Blue”

Isaac Krapf is a multi-instrumentalist from Baltimore, Maryland. His first work “Seasick” was released in 2020 at the beginning of the COVID Pandemic. On that record, he wrote and tracked the guitars, bass, vocals, lyrics, and drums. Throughout quarantine, Isaac continued writing and in 2021 released his second record “The Hollow“. In 2022 Isaac is set to release his third record titled “Gates“.

In a review, Zone Nights blog described the songs as “Intense….aggressive, but at the same time melodic.”  This is mainly due to his instrumentation which includes clean chordal guitar work layered over heavy bottom end guitars. Isaac Krapf has played in multiple venues throughout the Baltimore area most notably The Recher & Baltimore Soundstage. His music can be found on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. Isaac is highly engaged with his audience on social media platforms. Let’s get to know this outstanding artist through a brief interview.

Isaac Krapf (2022)

Bridge: Which three artists or bands had the most influence on you and can we hear that in your music today?

IK: Devin Townsend, The Gaslight Anthem & Dio.  Yes you absolutely hear their influence in my music.

Bridge: Describe your songwriting & recording process.

IK: I always start with the guitar riff/chords and build around that. Bass and drums are added next with a 2nd guitar being added after. Vocal melodies & lyrics are written at the end of the process. (Recording is in the same order).

Bridge: Tell us what inspired your new single, “Diamond Blue.”

IK: In short, the song comes from a place of loss.

Bridge: If you could collaborate with any living recording artist, who would you choose and why?

IK: Devin Townsend. Massive influence on my musical journey and would be an honor.

Bridge: What’s something about you outside of music that readers would find interesting about you personally?

IK: Proud dog father of two Alaskan Malamutes named Canaan & Aura. My recent album artwork includes

Aura on the imagery (see attached)
