Garage Floor Epoxy Coatings
Garage Floor Epoxy Coatings in Allen
A garage floor coating is the most common project we run in Allen, and it is a multi-coat system, not a single can of paint. Bridgemusicmagazine grinds the slab, lays a pigmented base, broadcasts vinyl color flakes, and seals the whole thing with a clear topcoat rated for hot-tire pickup and automotive fluids. Done right, it turns a stained slab in a Twin Creeks garage into a finish that wipes clean with a mop.
Why Homeowners Choose a Flake System
- Tough where it counts. The topcoat shrugs off hot tires, road salt tracked in off Stacy Road, and the occasional dropped tool.
- Slip resistance. The broadcast flake adds texture underfoot, which matters on a floor that gets wet.
- Hides imperfections. Full flake to rejection covers minor pitting and old stains that bare concrete would show.
Our Process
We start with a planetary diamond grinder to open the concrete to a CSP 2 or 3 profile, capturing the dust at the tool with a HEPA vacuum. Cracks get chased and filled, then we roll and back-roll the pigmented base and broadcast flake until the surface disappears. After it cures, we scrape and vacuum the loose chips and lock it down with a polyaspartic or polyurethane clear. Most garages inside the 75013 ZIP are a two-visit job, or one day with a fast-curing system.
